Where are your treasures?

If you were given the opportunity to receive $5 million dollars, would you take it? Of course, the first initial thought would be to accept it, pay bills and buy that new television set you have been eyeing at Sam’s club. Whatever remaining bit you have left would be for church, where it should have been the first thing to distribute to; remember 10% goes to God. There is always something to say about money though, good and bad. Money can make you or break you, if you allow it of course, because it is just paper, right? People seem to think money in general is corrupt, but it is in fact how a person reacts to it when in their possession that reveals where that person’s heart truly resides. It is the love of money that is the root of all evil. The love of monetary happiness causes a separation between the Lord and each individual person. Anything that is created by man is of the world and the attachments there of are opposite of God and His will.
1 Timothy 6:10
“For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”
Matthew 6:19-21

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
I have read stories on how as soon as a person becomes rich or receives more money than what they know what to do with, it completely sets their life upside down. At the end of the day, should we really put the blame on the money itself or the individual. It seems in every situation there is an opportunity for a person to prosper, they crumble under pressure and in fact lose their own life. Jesus speaks to us in the bible about this very thing.
Matthew 16:26
“For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?”
Parable about a foolish rich man:
Luke 12:15-21
“And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth. And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry. But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.”
All in all, the choices we make will determine where are heart belongs; for God or the world. In order to truly prosper in life, you must love the Lord with all your heart, soul and mind, with doing so you will have everything you need without the satisfaction of monetary happiness.
Luke 10:27
“And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbor as thyself.”
Deuteronomy 6:5
“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.”

Why are Christian's becoming weak in faith?

The people of this world have drawn away from God's holy word. The faithful are dwindling away from living to please the Lord Jesus Christ. Why are so many pulling away?

Hebrew 6: 4-8

“For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame. 7For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: 8But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.”

Luke 10:2

“Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.”

The laborers of God have become lazy working for God. And there has been some that were involved in church activities and, always trying to help the church, and assist the Pastor when he needs help. If we pay attention to the secular world you will notice that the so called Christians are entangled with the cares of the world mingling with the sinners in the wrong places.

Romans 1:21

“Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.”

1 Peter 2:20

“For if after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, they are again entangled therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the beginning.”

1 Corinthians 2:14-16

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. 15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. 16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.”

Deuteronomy 13:4

“Ye shall walk after the LORD your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.”

Satan has created a false imagine in the people of this world to serve the creators and money to delay the time to repentance. Just like the days of Noah.

Romans 1:24,25

“Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: 25Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.”

Matthew 24:38

“For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,”

Matthew 24:12

“And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.”

Be strong and faithful onto the end, and the Lord will not leave you nor forsake you. Jesus Christ will strengthen you through the most difficult times. As you may know, that we are in the tail end of the coming of the Lord.

Hebrews 3:14

“For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end;”

The True Leaven in Jesus

Deuteronomy 16:3

“Thou shalt eat no unleavened bread with it; seven days shalt thou eat unleavened bread therewith, even the bread of affliction; for thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt in haste: that thou mayest remember the day when thou camest forth out of the land of Egypt all the days of thy life.”

1 Corinthians 5:7-8

“Your glorying is not good. Knowing ye not that a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump? Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our Passover is sacrificed for us: Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.”

*The Blood is a covering of protection. The Lord told the people of Israel to put blood on the door lintels so that death will pass them, just like what Jesus wants from us. We need the blood of Jesus to cover us.

Exodus 12:23

“For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and on the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.”

*Looking back at the event, when God led the people of Israel out of Egypt, also resembles that of the Lord Jesus Christ and the day of the Passover where He then died and became the perfect sacrifice for the world. *

1 John 1:7

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.”

*When receiving the Lord Jesus Christ in our hearts we can’t hold onto any pass sins. Because God is holy, and God dwells only in vessels that are holy.*

(The Leaven of the Pharisees)

Luke 12:1

“In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trode one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.”

The Parable of the Sower

Matthew 13:3-8

“And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; 4And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: 5Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: 6And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. 7And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: 8But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.”

What is the Seed?

The Word of God.

Luke 8:11

“Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.”

He that sows the seed is the Son of Man

Matthew 13:37

“He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man;”

What do the thorns represent?

The World.

Matthew 13:22

“He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.”

**A tree needs water to survive. If a tree was planted near a river where the roots would get its water daily, it will survive. Jesus wants us to plant ourselves in him, like a tree by the river banks to live. **

John 15:1-5

“1I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 2Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. 3Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you. 4Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me. 5I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”

True Believers will be hated for His name’s sake!

John 15:18-20

“If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. 20Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept y saying, they will keep yours also.”

Through Jesus we are saved and reconciled with Him from the World!

Colossians 1:21

“And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled.”

John 15:16

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.”

Things that Provoke God

Study by: Pastor Rolando Ramos

There are 6 things God hates:

Proverbs 6:17-19

“These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.”

When a person exercises the practice of the works of the flesh they devise their own evil

Psalm 36:4

“He deviseth mischief upon his bed; he setteth himself in a way that is not good; he abhorreth not evil.”

Psalm 81:12

“So I gave them up into their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels.”

You know better, in that which you do is not expectable with God

Romans 1:21

“Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were they thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.”

*The Lord is always watching to keep you from falling. If we read about Cain and Abel in Genesis 4:6-7, we could understand that satan will find a way to divert you from trusting in the Lord. *

Genesis 4:6-7

“And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? And why is thy countenance fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? And if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.”

Proverbs 1:24

“Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded;”

He that has called you is Holy

1 Peter 1:13-16

“Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”

Curse words, or words of evil, or worldly lustful speaking put away from you

Ephesians 4:29

“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.”

A person that ignores instruction loves death. Be obedient unto the word of God, and you will be filled with joy

Proverbs 8:33-36

“Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.”

If you have hatred towards anyone how can you say that you love God whom you have never seen?

1 John 4:20

“If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen?”

There are two most important commandments Jesus Christ mentioned in the Bible

Matthew 22:38-40

“Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.”

*Keep the Lord thy God pleased with your life and you will have a peaceable and joyous life with Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Be Blessed!!!

The Parable of the Rich man and the Beggar

Luke 16:19-31
“There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: 20And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, 21And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: moreover the dogs came and licked his sores. 22And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; 23And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.24And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame. 25But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy lifetime receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. 26And beside all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. 27Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father's house: 28For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. 29Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them. 30And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.”

**So many times you hear in stories of the underdog that finally got their day of glory and the one that was over them gloating, finally received their day of misery and faced the consequences of their actions. Well in this parable speaks of a rich man that had everything he can think of upon the earth, and was very proud of what he had accomplished. But in his accomplishments he had a hard heart, having no compassion upon the poor man Lazarus who didn’t have even the crumbs that fell from the rich man’s table. Though Lazarus didn’t have much upon the earth, He had an abundant of blessings In paradise when he passed away, where the rich man was down in hell with nothing but pain and regret.

This is exactly what we face today through the decisions that we make every day. Will you carry your treasures upon the earth or will you obtain them in heaven? In order for us to go to heaven, we must be born again (John 3:3) and met for our master’s use. How do we do that? By confessing of your sins (Romans 10:9-10) and allowing Jesus to take control of your entire life, and for you to plant yourself upon the strong foundation for you to stand. When you build your house (we are the temple/building) upon the rock (Jesus) as we are to trust fully in him we can make it through the toughest storms that come at us. **
John 3:3
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

Romans 10:9-10
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”

Building your house upon the rock(Jesus), not upon the sand (world)
Matthew 7:24-27
“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:25And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.26And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.”

Proverbs 12:3
“A man shall not be established by wickedness: but the root of the righteous shall not be moved.

Proverbs 12:7
“The wicked are overthrown, and are not: but the house of the righteous shall stand.

**If you would like to give your heart to Jesus today, repeat these words below:
'Dear Heavenly Father,i come to in the name of Jesus; Forgive me a sinner and wash me in your precious blood. Make this heart of stone to be made flesh, so that your word may be sown in it. Any addictions that i may have, remove them now in Jesus name! I've accepted Jesus Christ as my savior and believe that He died and rose from the dead! And from this day forward, i commit my life to you and seek for guidance and understanding in your word, as i walk in your path of righteousness, In Jesus name i pray, AMEN!!!'
If you have recited these words and meant them in your heart, you are saved and if the Lord would come today, you will be ready to go to Heaven!! I will keep you all in prayer, to continue to walk in the ways of Jesus Christ our Lord. READ, PRAY, SEEK and TRUST in Him and you will overcome this wicked world! **

What does Jesus Christ mean to you?

(Luke 10:27)
"And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself."

*Have you ever looked back and reflected in your life as a believer of Jesus Christ, on what Jesus really means to you? What “I” mean is, yes we say we believe in Jesus Christ and the marvelous works He performed for us, but as a Christian what kind of relationship do we have with Him? You can read the book from Genesis to Revelations, you can pray all you want, but do you really mean it from your heart? It takes more than going to church every Sunday and Wednesday, reading the bible everyday and praying here and there to officially call yourself in a “Relationship” with Jesus Christ. Why am I bringing this up? It is because in this time and age people who claim themselves as Christians today, are in a religious state, not in a true relationship with Jesus. A lot like how the Pharisees in Jesus’ time were; stuck in their rituals and not ‘humbly’ praying on their knees to our Father in heaven. Many times Jesus referred to them as hypocrites, and said it with anger and disgust. God expressly tells us in the word, that we can sing with our lips in praise, but if our heart is not there it means nothing. *

(Matthew 15:1-9)
Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, 2Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread. 3But he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition? 4For God commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth father or mother, let him die the death. 5But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; 6And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. 7Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,8This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.9But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”
(Isaiah 29:13)
Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men:
*Today we have a lot of Pharisees walking around, intentionally noting within themselves that they do enough before others and with God, that their heart becomes a stone, stuck in religion and pushing God far from their heart in reverence of Him. Let us not have that same mindset.
In truth, we can never give God enough praise, because what He did was at a precious and valuable cost; His only begotten Son. No money, not enough fundraisers and extravagant church events can sum up the value of what He had done AND on what He can do for us today!
So many so called believers today say as long as you believe in Jesus Christ, go to church and do good onto others you will go to heaven. EHH..There is more to the facts on what they are presenting before the people. There are churches that tell people this and allow sin to continue because of the most famous lines (We are not perfect, God understands, He is working on it). Let me clarify something with you..
1.      Yes, the first step into having a relationship with Jesus Christ is, believing on Him and what He has done for us. He will forgive you of your sins and you have invited Him in your heart to dwell there. But that is not where it ends; you don’t continue in your old path of living. You have made a great leap, you have received something so precious (salvation) in your life and you choose to lay it on a shelf every once and a while? That is not how it works people..

(2 Corinthians 5:17-21)
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.20Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

(1 Peter 1:13-16)
Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: 15But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; 16Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.”

2.    It also takes more than just warming a seat at church, you have to believe and live in these words from God. (A)The building itself will not save us, for we are the temple/church and we are to keep ourselves holy at all times.  (B)Yes, we make mistakes, but we get up brush ourselves off and strengthen ourselves to avoid making those same mistakes again by drawing closer to God.

a.    (1 Corinthians 3:16-17)
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 17If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

b.    (Isaiah 41:10)
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.

** I hope you read this today and truly reflect on the relationship you have with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For just as we have a commitment with our physical marital spouse in this world, we are to do the same more so (of course) with Jesus Christ. For He has proven himself that He is worthy of all praise, glory and honour. **

**If you would like to give your heart to Jesus today, repeat these words below:
'Dear Heavenly Father,i come to in the name of Jesus; Forgive me a sinner and wash me in your precious blood. Make this heart of stone to be made flesh, so that your word may be sown in it.
